Cozy App

Cozy games are a style of video game defined less by mechanics and more by feeling. Often described as a fan-created category rather than an official genre, cozy games center on relaxation, creativity, and gentle exploration. They can span farming, crafting, puzzles, or life simulations. It can be subjective to anything that gives players a calm, low‑pressure escape from daily life.

With the huge success of titles like Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing: New Horizons, interest in cozy gaming has increased. That growth has led to an overwhelming number of new releases. Some are thoughtful and high‑quality, but many are rushed or shallow, making it hard for players to separate the gems from the noise. Because the category is more-so vibe based and crosses multiple genres, recommendations are scattered across forums, social media, and streams, adding to the challenge of discovery.

This concept app was designed to solve that problem: a single home where cozy gamers can discover, rate, and organize games, and see what friends and trusted creators enjoy. The design is warm and minimal, inspired by cozy aesthetics, and avoids noisy social feeds to keep the experience calm and focused on connection.

I added customization to the profile. My first version felt too extreme and inconsistent. In the update, I used a cream paper texture below to stay cohesive with any user photo, and moved customization to the top, tying it to the profile image to feel more personal.

Adding a auto black gradient ensured that text would be readable regardless of the photo chosen by the user.
